Family Doctor & Pharmacy Concierge for Tourist Families in Los Cabos

A sick kid on vacation is a different problem than a sick adult. The pediatric symptom curve is steeper, the family is more nervous, and dragging a five-year-old with a fever to a downtown clinic is the wrong way to spend a Cabo morning. Our family concierge sends an English-speaking physician to your hotel room or villa, with our COFEPRIS-licensed pharmacy ready to deliver the medication on the same visit.

Why families with kids use the concierge instead of a clinic

The most common medical reasons families call us in Cabo are not exotic: stomach bug after a buffet day, fever from a flight, ear infection from a pool day, sunburn that has crossed into heat exhaustion, an allergic reaction to something on the menu, a UTI or rash, a missed daily medication. Almost every one of these is the kind of visit that takes 20 minutes with a physician — and almost every one of them is harder, not easier, in a clinic waiting room with a tired four-year-old.

The concierge model is built for that. The doctor arrives at your hotel room or villa with the standard pediatric exam kit, runs the consultation in private, issues any prescription in person, and the pharmacy delivers the medication to the front desk or directly to the room. The family stays together; the visit is short; the trip continues.

Pharmacy & Doctors operates under COFEPRIS pharmacy authorization #05-022-B and runs the family concierge 24/7.

What a family concierge visit handles

Scope is matched to the case at intake, with pediatric experience built in.

In-Room Pediatric Visits

Mexican-licensed, English-speaking MDs for kids of all ages — fevers, stomach bugs, ear/throat infections, sunburn and heat exhaustion, rashes, mild allergic reactions, urinary symptoms, post-flight illness.

Adult Family-Medicine Visits

Same physician network for the parents — stomach issues, UTIs, infections, prescriptions, second opinions on a hospital visit.

Children's Pharmacy Delivery

Pediatric-appropriate medications, rehydration solutions, fever and pain medications dosed by age and weight, allergy and skin products delivered to the room.

English Documentation

Care plan and prescription summary in English, dosing instructions in plain language, follow-up timing, and red-flag symptoms for the family to watch.

How a family dispatch works

The flow is built to be quick and reassuring.

  1. Reach the concierge. WhatsApp, call, or use the request form. Tell us the child's age, what is happening, how long it has been going on, and the hotel or villa.
  2. We confirm. A coordinator confirms the doctor name and arrival window. For urgent pediatric cases (high fever in an infant, breathing changes, severe lethargy) we prioritize the dispatch and brief you on hospital backup if needed.
  3. Care arrives. The physician completes the visit in your hotel room, issues any prescription in person, and the pharmacy delivers the medication with English-language dosing instructions.

When to skip us and go straight to a hospital

We are a concierge for non-emergency and urgent-but-stable family situations. Go to the closest hospital and call 911 (Mexican emergency number) for any infant under three months with a fever, severe breathing difficulty, blue lips, severe lethargy or unresponsiveness, severe head injury, severe bleeding that does not stop, signs of severe dehydration in a young child, severe allergic reaction, or seizures. We are happy to follow up after stabilization with the appropriate next steps.

Questions guests ask

Will the doctor see my child in our hotel room?
Yes. Pediatric in-room visits are one of the most common reasons families call us. The physician arrives with the standard exam kit and completes the consultation in your room. The family stays together throughout.
How fast can the doctor arrive?
Standard dispatch is 30 to 45 minutes in Cabo San Lucas and 30 to 60 minutes in the corridor or San José. Urgent pediatric cases are prioritized.
Can the doctor prescribe and deliver children's medication?
Yes. After the visit, the physician issues a Mexican prescription where clinically appropriate. Our COFEPRIS-licensed pharmacy delivers the medication to the room — dosed for the child's age and weight, with English-language instructions.
What if my child has a high fever or is very lethargic?
Call us immediately and we will prioritize the dispatch. For infants under three months with any fever, severe lethargy, breathing difficulty, blue lips, severe dehydration, severe allergic reaction, or seizures, go directly to the closest hospital and call 911. We can follow up after.
Does travel insurance cover pediatric concierge visits?
Most major travel-medical insurers reimburse pediatric concierge visits when documented properly. We issue itemized English-language invoices accepted by Allianz, GeoBlue, IMG, Cigna Global, and similar carriers.
