Post-Op Recovery & Concierge Nursing in Cabo

Recovering from surgery in a hotel room without clinical eyes is a risk most patients should not be taking. Our concierge runs structured post-operative recovery at your villa or hotel suite in Cabo — registered nurses, scheduled wound care, IV antibiotic courses under physician orders, monitored vitals, and direct coordination with your surgeon at home or in Cabo.

Why structured post-op care matters in a hotel or villa

Most post-operative complications that turn serious — wound infections, hematomas, deep-vein thromboses, medication interactions, dehydration, missed antibiotic doses — show up in the days after the procedure. In a hospital, nurses catch them at scheduled rounds. In a hotel room with no clinical eyes, they get caught when they are already a problem. Our concierge is built to close that gap.

For medical-tourism patients (cosmetic, orthopedic, bariatric, or dental procedures done in Cabo or Tijuana), we coordinate directly with the operating surgeon and run the post-op schedule the surgeon would expect: wound checks at the right intervals, drain management where applicable, dressing changes on the right days, IV antibiotic courses on time, monitored vitals, and clear documentation. For patients who had surgery at home and travel during recovery, we coordinate with the home surgeon and adapt to the discharge plan.

Pharmacy & Doctors operates under COFEPRIS pharmacy authorization #05-022-B. Post-op nursing is staffed 24/7.

What a post-op concierge plan includes

Plans are built case by case from the discharge orders and the surgeon's expectations.

Scheduled Nurse Visits

Daily or twice-daily visits during the critical recovery window. Wound check, dressing change, drain management, vitals, pain assessment, and documentation in English.

IV Antibiotics & Injections

IV antibiotic courses under physician orders, prophylactic injections (heparin-class anticoagulants where prescribed), and pain-management injections at the scheduled times.

Surgeon Coordination

Direct coordination with your operating surgeon (Cabo or home) — status updates, photo wound check where appropriate, escalation pathway if something looks off.

Pharmacy & Equipment Delivery

Prescription medication and recovery equipment (compression garments, drainage supplies, mobility aids on request) delivered to the villa via our COFEPRIS-licensed pharmacy and partners.

How a post-op plan is built and run

The plan is set up at the time of the surgery or before the patient arrives in Cabo.

  1. Send the discharge orders. WhatsApp the discharge summary, planned procedure, and expected recovery window. Add the address and the dates of the stay.
  2. We design the plan. A coordinator and our medical director map the visit schedule (frequency, duration, IV-antibiotic timing, wound-check intervals) against the surgeon's orders. We assign the lead nurse for continuity.
  3. We run the plan. Scheduled visits start on day one. Each visit is documented in English. Anything that requires escalation goes to your physician or surgeon in real time. The patient stays in the villa or suite throughout.

Service area: from Cabo San Lucas to San José and the Corridor

Post-op nursing is delivered at every address in our service region: Cabo San Lucas villas and hotels, the Tourist Corridor (Esperanza, Las Ventanas, Montage, Chileno Bay, Cape Thompson, Nobu, Waldorf Astoria, Hilton, Westin, Marquis, JW Marriott, Grand Velas, Le Blanc, Garza Blanca, Viceroy), San José del Cabo (Hotel Zone, downtown, La Playita, Puerto Los Cabos), and the residential and golf communities at Palmilla, Querencia, Cabo del Sol, Diamante, Quivira, Pedregal, and El Tezal.

For multi-day recovery plans we send the same lead nurse where possible. Continuity is a core part of post-op outcomes.

COFEPRIS-licensed, physician-supervised recovery

Every nurse on the post-op concierge is board-certified. IV antibiotics, prescription injectables, and any controlled-substance pain medication that may have been prescribed by the operating surgeon are administered only against valid physician orders. Our concierge physician can be added to the plan as the local medical contact if the operating surgeon is at home or remote.

Our pharmacy operates under COFEPRIS #05-022-B (printed on our home page). Itemized English-language invoices are accepted by major travel insurers for reimbursement of post-op care. Payment at the time of service is by card or transfer.

Recover in your villa — clinical eyes, scheduled visits

Share the surgery, discharge orders, and your address. We build a multi-day post-op plan, send the right nurse, coordinate with your surgeon, and run the recovery so the trip back home is not the first time anyone checks on you.

Questions guests ask

Can you coordinate with my surgeon back home or in Cabo?
Yes. We coordinate directly with the operating surgeon — sharing daily updates, photo wound checks where appropriate, and escalating anything that looks off in real time. Many of our post-op patients are medical-tourism cases done in Cabo or Tijuana.
Do you administer IV antibiotics?
Yes, under valid physician orders from your surgeon or our concierge physician. The nurse administers the dose at the prescribed schedule and monitors for tolerance and adverse effects.
How many visits per day are typical?
It depends on the procedure. Most cosmetic and bariatric recoveries are one to two scheduled visits per day during the first 3 to 7 days, tapering down as healing progresses. Orthopedic and complex recoveries may require more.
What if something looks wrong between visits?
You have direct WhatsApp contact with the concierge. If something changes — bleeding, severe pain, fever, swelling, breathing changes — message immediately. We escalate to the surgeon and dispatch the nurse or physician right away; for true emergencies we direct you to the closest hospital.
Does travel insurance cover post-op concierge nursing?
Many major travel-medical insurers reimburse post-op nursing when documented properly. We issue itemized English-language invoices suitable for submission to Allianz, GeoBlue, IMG, Cigna Global, and similar carriers.
