A traveler running out of medication faces three problems at once. First: a US, Canadian, or European prescription is not legally fillable in Mexico, so the home prescription cannot just be presented at a Cabo pharmacy. Second: many home medications are sold in Mexico under different brand names, different formulations, or different strengths, and figuring out the equivalent from a hotel room is genuinely hard. - Pharmacy delivery. The COFEPRIS-licensed pharmacy fulfills the prescription. The courier delivers it to your front desk or villa with English-language dosing instructions and a written summary you can take home.
Where the refill concierge runs
The refill concierge is available at every hotel, villa, residence, and yacht slip in the Los Cabos service area: Cabo San Lucas hotels and rentals, every major Tourist Corridor resort, San José del Cabo Hotel Zone and downtown, and the residential communities at Palmilla, Querencia, Cabo del Sol, Diamante, Quivira, Pedregal, and El Tezal.
Most refills (consult plus pharmacy delivery) are completed within 2 to 4 hours of the first message during business hours, and same-day for late-afternoon and evening requests.
What we cannot refill
The concierge does not bypass Mexican federal pharmacy law. We will not refill controlled substances on a request basis (this includes most of the medications in the US controlled-substance schedules: opioids, benzodiazepines, stimulants for ADHD, and similar categories). For some controlled medications, a physician can issue a Mexican prescription only after a thorough in-person evaluation and only under specific circumstances; many will not be eligible.
For travelers on controlled medications, the safer path is almost always to contact your home prescriber to arrange a refill solution before traveling, or to bring an adequate supply of the medication with appropriate documentation.

- A foreign prescription is not directly fillable in Mexico. The concierge coordinates a same-day consult with a Mexican-licensed physician who reviews your prescription and medication history and issues a Mexican prescription where clinically appropriate. The pharmacy then fulfills the Mexican prescription.
- How fast can I get my medication?
- Most refills are completed within 2 to 4 hours of the first message. For late-day requests, same-day delivery is typical. Times depend on the medication, the doctor consult time, and the delivery zone.
- Can you refill my controlled medication (anxiety, ADHD, sleep, opioid)?
- No, not on a request basis. We do not refill controlled medications on demand. For some controlled medications a Mexican physician can issue a prescription after a thorough in-person evaluation under specific circumstances, but many will not be eligible. The safer path is to arrange a refill with your home prescriber before traveling.
- Do you provide an invoice for my travel-medical insurance?
- Yes. The consult fee and pharmacy fulfillment are itemized in English. Major international travel insurers (Allianz, GeoBlue, IMG, Cigna Global) typically reimburse refill consultations and medications when documented this way.
- What happens if you cannot fill the medication I need?
- The consulting physician explains why and recommends the next step — most often, contacting your home prescriber for an alternative or an in-person hospital evaluation. We do not improvise around prescriptions or law.
